My mom doesn't wear socks. She's one of those warm people, and socks just don't work for her. Well, and the fact that her knee doesn't bend so well and putting sockies on just isn't easy.

But! She loves that I knit socks. So mom asked me for a pair of black sock to wear under her black strappy flats.

Thus, 'mom has fluffly ankles' socks.

They're toe-up, with gusset-like increases just before the short-row heel. Then miles of plain ribbing. The increases worked out well, the socks go over her heel, and don't bind up on her ankles.

So I'm making here a second pair! ::snicker::
